Case study

Non-financial due diligence for a first investment in Poland

  1. Background

A US-based private equity fund has identified a promising target in Poland, marking its first investment in the region: a medium-sized health-tech firm specialising in telemedicine and digital health solutions.

  2. Objective

To verify the credibility of the target company, with a particular focus on the reputation of its partners. Additionally, to provide an overview of the main competition in Poland and identify key stakeholders in the health-tech ecosystem.

  3. Our service and outcome

We conducted an in-depth online investigation of the target company, reviewing all current and former participants and their associations. Facing uncertainties, we interviewed a health-tech journalist, a former business partner of a board member and a former employee, gaining additional insights and context on past controversies. We also identified key competitors and influential political players who could impact the company’s development.
